Graphic Cards Compatibility

GPUtrace works with GT200 Architecture (older cards that are still working)

and of course Current Graphic Card Models (Fermi Generation).

As well we advise to use a really fast multi-core (>=4) processor to support the graphics card (Intel i7-950 for example).

To get an optimum of speed you need:

  • a fast new generation Nvidia graphics card
  • A fast multicore CPU (quadcore or bigger) with more than 3 GHz
  • Card Memory > 1 GB to be able to load big models
  • A power supply and chassis that can take the power comsumption and cooling
quoteI am pretty amazed. Normal simulation with 4 processors takes 19 min., same simulation with GPUtrace took 20.8sec. Good job!!!!
